Welcome to Presteigne
At the very heart of the Marches area, Presteigne, (Llanandras in Welsh) nestles alongside the river Lugg at the corner of the three counties of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Powys. It is within a short drive from Hay-on-Wye, Hereford, Ludlow and Shrewsbury.
The surrounding countryside is breathtaking, and the drive from Presteigne to Aberystwyth was voted one of the ten most beautiful drives in the world by the AA. Once the County Town of Radnorshire, Presteigne lies just to the East of Radnor Forest and Offa's Dyke, with the bookshops of Hay-on-Wye, the renowned culinary delights of Ludlow and Hereford, with its Cathedral, are all an easy drive away.
Brecon has its Jazz, Hay its books, but Presteigne is served with a range of musical and arts based events throughout the year. The Presteigne Festival of Music & Arts is a prestigious and internationally renowned regular event whilst Sheep Music is a three-day explosion of joyful music, good company and unicycling workshops.
