Places to take the Children |
| |
There are some really good places to visit up past Machynleth, there is the Centre for Alternative Technology and King Arthurs Labyrinth, they also have some lovely shops, I really enjoyed the boat ride in the Labyrinth, and the look on the nephews faces, it really made the day. |

The Brecon Beacons is really good, or how about the Source of the Severn near Llanidloes? |

Canoeing |
| |
Canoeing on the Wye is great. Much of the year it is pretty leisurely from Glasbury down to Hay, Hereford, Ross and Symonds Yat. But at this time of the year there is some white water above Glasbury. Particularly around Newbridge. |

Alton Towers |

As great a day out as it might be, Alton Towers was in Staffordshire the last time a looked. A little off-topic? How about the Centre for Alternative Technology? |
