The Llanwrtyd Wells Oxjam, arranged by Andy Gilmore of local band, Kobandallas as part of Oxfam’s music festival fundraising, proved to be a huge success. With sell out of tickets and additional bands extending the line up at the very last minute, the event raised an estimated £700 for the charity. Further proof that the ‘Village of the Year’ title presented to Llanwrtyd as a result of its proactive community spirit, was an award well earned.

Andy has been keen to raise money to help in countries torn apart by war and last year wrote, helped produce and performed the song ‘Millions of Faces’ using local school kids for backing vocals. All proceeds going to Oxfam,War Child and Amnesty
